For Aspnäs Maskin & lantbruk in Dala Husby, simplicity and accessibility are the most important factors when choosing a financial partner. At LR Revision & Redovisning in Hedemora, they have found the right support and assistance for the past fifteen years.
Aspnäs Maskin & lantbruk is a family business that runs both an agricultural and a contracting operation. Currently, the agricultural part consists of grain, but just a few years ago, the farm also had cows. The contracting part consists of a number of trucks and an excavator that are either rented out or used to carry out contract work, such as delivering gravel.
Eva Aspnäs is responsible for administration and finance in the family business, and in addition to herself and her husband, three of their children also work in the company. She talks about the relationship with LR Revision & redovisning in Hedemora, which is the company's financial partner.
- We have been customers of LR Hedemora for about 15 years now. They help us with everything we need. Financial statements, of course, but also support in the accounting department. I am self-taught, so it is important for me to have someone to check with on an ongoing basis. All we have to do is call and we get help. We don't have time to talk much because, as farmers, we work seven days a week. So it's nice to get straight and quick answers.
Agriculture is in many ways a special industry with many rules and often large investments. In addition, it is often dependent on external factors that cannot be controlled, such as too little sun or too much rain, which can destroy crops.
- For us, it is extremely important that those who help us with our finances understand our industry. Farming is not easy, and there are many rules and a lot at stake. Leasing a car is one thing, but buying machinery is something else entirely.
As in other industries, digital tools are increasingly being used in administration in agriculture. However, according to Eva, there can be considerable resistance within the industry.
- It has changed a lot, but we are the ones holding things back. Camilla, who we work with most, wants us to switch to working more digitally. But in our industry, it's still a bit old-fashioned, you might say. You shake hands on deals and sign contracts with pen and paper.
- But of course, Camilla and the others use digital tools and technology that I never see, after I have given them my documentation. And it feels good that someone else is keeping track of what I don't know about, concludes Eva Aspnäs.
